Maddux:  Are you still on the plane mom?

Me: No, I'm in New Jersey

Maddux: But what kind do they have there?

Me: What kind of what do they have here?

Maddux:  Jerseys?  Are they football jerseys or baseball jerseys?  What kind do they have?  Do they have black or blue ones?

While waiting for a table at our favorite restaurant, Maddux sees a gentleman leaving who has an eye patch and is quite "scruffy".  To help paint the scene, keep in mind that 4 year old boys are loud and also have no reservations about point directly at people!

Maddux:  "MOM, MOM, Look at THAT guy!  He must be a pirate!  Do you think that guy is a pirate mom?

Maddux: Mom, I want ice cream.

Me: You didn't eat your dinner, so you don't get to have ice cream tonight.

Maddux: But mom, I didn't eat all my dinner because I'm allergic to beans.

Me: Well chocolate is made from beans, (showed him a picture of cocoa beans on Google), so I guess you can't have chocolate anymore!

Maddux: Well, I'm not allergic to beans right NOW!
